Last Minute Boost
Anyone else want to wager that the GOP pulls off a last-second election miracle to keep grip on congress, fueled by the Saddam Hussein verdict-- and reinforced by dirty tricks and voting machine shenanigans?

It wouldn't surprise me, but I don't believe the "miracle" would be fueled by the Saddam verdict. Rather, it would be explained by the Saddam verdict. I still have enough faith in the American people that they see through this contrived timing, and realize that "getting Saddam" was not worth it. I don't have enough faith in the electoral system to think that elections cannot be stolen. It would be really blatant and obvious this time, though.
