One of my futile goals in life is to practice enough to be able to play these pieces this well. Actually, I can play the slower pieces reasonably well, but still not close to this well for the faster ones like #14 (the last one).
These are kind of fun to play because there is some crazy cross-hands playing in some of them.

It's funny how low he sits and then crouches even lower, though I do understand his preference for a comfy chair. Good lord. I just heard the last part. I'll bet even he couldn't get that kind of response out of my rickety old upright. That's my excuse for not being able to play that well. Your lack of time excuse is good, too. Also, I prefer Chopin, that merciless twelve fingered show off.
12 fingered? chopin sounds to me like 14 fingers!

Actually, I like Chopin a great deal. I've been playing his Sonatas a lot recently (he only wrote 3). The fast sections again are the hard parts for me.
nothing funny about this fellow... pure freaking genius and master of the ivory. what I particularly enjoy on his recordings are the periodic murmurs and tappings he did not allow to be editted out. I agree with you... this is some of my very favorite music.
