Scary Economic Similarities wth 1932 and 2008

Krugman:
The interregnum of 1932-1933, the long stretch between the election and the actual transfer of power, was disastrous for the U.S. economy, at least in part because the outgoing administration had no credibility, the incoming administration had no authority and the ideological chasm between the two sides was too great to allow concerted action. And the same thing is happening now.
(snip)

How much can go wrong in the two months before Mr. Obama takes the oath of office? The answer, unfortunately, is: a lot. Consider how much darker the economic picture has grown since the failure of Lehman Brothers, which took place just over two months ago. And the pace of deterioration seems to be accelerating.

Most obviously, we’re in the midst of the worst stock market crash since the Great Depression: the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index has now fallen more than 50 percent from its peak. Other indicators are arguably even more disturbing: unemployment claims are surging, manufacturing production is plunging, interest rates on corporate bonds — which reflect investor fears of default — are soaring, which will almost surely lead to a sharp fall in business spending. The prospects for the economy look much grimmer now than they did as little as a week or two ago.

You've been taken in by Wall Street short sellers.

You can delete comments that you don't like because they point out errors, but you can't delete the fact that short sellers want you to believe the worst about everything...from the economy to disproved conspiracy theories about JFK.

ya, it is obvious that the economy is just hunky-dory!
hey, kudos to paulson and bernanke for refusing to disclose who the recipients of the $700 billion "bail-out" have been so far.

Do you know what short selling is?
Which do you think is more prudent?

1. Paulson lists all recipients. If he did, then envious and jealous co's would form a mile from here to Bill Cooper's grave. And, they would yell loudly that their claims are just as valid as anyone elses - regardless of what
more knowledgeable experts think.

2. Paulson does not disclose the list to the public?

Thanks for your comment about the economy. I'm sure you read the article posted by "anonymous physicist" in which he makes various claims about the JFK assassination.
Among other things, he claims that the limo driver shot JFK while driving him in Dallas and he also claims that the late Bill Cooper was shown a VIDEO of that act.

Questions:
1. Do you agree with what "anonymous physicist" claims about the JFK assassination?

2. Do you know of any historians or JFK assassination researchers (professional or just interested amateurs who post on any of the JFK assassination web sites) who agree with what "a.p" claims?

3. If you DID know of any historians or JFK assassination researchers who agree with "a.p." and Bill Cooper - you'd tell us,
right?

frankly i don't care what A.P. claims about the JFK assassination - if he is wrong then he is wrong.
but really, all of your attempts at denouncing what A.P. claims about the JFK assassination have amounted to nothing more than there are no JFK assassination researchers who agree with A.P.

oh well.

by the way;

paulson refuses to disclose on bailout

oh well.

"there are no JFK assassination researchers who agree with A.P."

a.p. - CORRECT. Thanks for acknowledging the truth. No serious researchers or historians agree with the claim that Greer shot JFK.

Maybe one day we'll see a post saying: "I was wrong. signed a.p."

I won't hold my breath.

maybe A.P. is not wrong?
YOU certainly have not provided any information to the contrary.

and once again; i am not A.P. and furthermore i don't care whether A.P. is right or wrong about JFK.
give it up already.

Now you're trying to backpedal. As you said, historians and serious researchers don't give even the slightest credence to the notion that Greer shot JFK...regardless of whether such absurdity comes from the late Bill Cooper or from anyone else.

I'm sorry to know that someone who is such a prolific poster has no interest in the integrity of what is published here.

Wouldn't it be better to quit playing games about the "a.p." person? It's wearing thin.

you are the one who said that, not me - what i said was, oh well.

and you said, Paulson lists all recipients.

really. that is news to the 19,000 hits on my google link above stating that "paulson refuses to disclose on bailout".
where is this lists all recipients?

Wouldn't it be better to quit playing games about the "a.p." person? It's wearing thin.

you must be some kind of a moron.
i am not A.P. - let it go.

Yes, we know that you never post comments about things you have an "oh well" attitude about and we know that you wouldn't want to try and speak for a.p. because a.p. can speak for himself, right? Of course he isn't right about JFK and he makes an equally silly claim about how Presidents aren't interested in our national security because they don't spend time worrying about the codes that would be used to order a response if the nation is attacked.

Of course you aren't a.p. Everyone knows that a.p. has stopped posting comments under the username a.p.

Oh, and here is the comment I posted which you must have failed to understand:

"a.p. -

Do you know what short selling is?

If you still don't understand this, let me know and I'll try to explain it to you again.

What does it make you that Spooked allows you to post personal insults against another poster - none of which are ever deleted, all the while lying about who you are, deliberately misrepresenting what another poster has said, posting long-disproven claims about a historical event that are every bit as important as 9/11 and then (and only then )when it's pointed out that those same disproven claims are bogus, pretending that they "maybe they're right and maybe they aren't, but so what" - as though
nonsense is as valid as common sense - even if it is about something as important as the historical truth about the assassination of a U.S. President.

No wonder you claim to not be a.p.
Denial and evasion are childish tactics. You owe Spooked BIG time for protecting you from what you deserve and that others here would face if the shoe were on the other foot.

Thank goodness this is one of the few and only places that I'm aware of where intentional, bogus claims about important events are
protected and condoned by the blog owner.

If the "Evil Gestapo Regime" and its "intel perps" took your claims seriously, I doubt this blog would still be in existence.

If that makes you feel good, then
so be it.
