Wondering what exactly happened with the USS Cole... anything close to the official story?

i have a suspicious feeling that a U.S. navy destroyer's hull is more than sturdy enough to repel an impact by a speed boat loaded with common explosives, much like the WTC was more than sturdy enough to repel an impact by an alleged airliner.

Agreed. Wasn't the boat originally described as an inflatable that came alongside and that up to 700lbs of C4 explosive were hidden on board before being detonated?

I'm picking that a head on attack by an unmanned drone carrying a forward pointing shape charge concealed under the bow and below the water line might provide a better explanation for the observed damage pattern.
